The first program for the calculation of small transformers was "born" in 1978 and had only 8kB. After 20 years of intensive development, the Rale Design Software (RDS) was created, whose power and price exceeded that of 1978 by many times. As a result, RDS has largely become available only to larger companies.
To enable a large number of smaller fcompanies, access to RDS Rale is shifting from sales to rentals. Since 2000, RDS is no longer sold but only rented.
